US ISP Windstream has announced that it is calling for a redemption of US$350m on its 8.625% senior notes on 19 September.
The redemption price, payable in cash, is equal to US$1,043.13 per US$1,000 principal amount of notes, plus accrued and unpaid interest running up to (but not including) the redemption date.
A Windstream spokesperson told TelecomFinance that this was “simply an opportunity to save money on interest payments by using the added capacity on our revolver”.
In March, Windstream increased the capacity on its revolving credit facility from US$750m to US$1.25bn.
The company said that it was not using any advisers as it was just exercising its redemption right.
