Nicos Sophocleous has stepped down from his position as chairman of Vodafone Greece’s board of directors.
“We would like to thank Nicos Sophocleous for his significant contribution from both roles of Chairman and CEO and to wish him every success in his future endeavours,” said Vodafone’s CEO of Europe Michel Combes, due to depart his role at the end of July.
Vodafone also announced today that Paolo Bertoluzzo is to take over as CEO of southern Europe following the splitting of Combes’s role, which means he will oversee the carrier’s Greek operations.
