UK mobile operator Vodafone and Swiss counterpart Swisscom have extended their strategic partnership to jointly procure devices, equipment, service platforms and other infrastructure.
“The agreement enhances our ability to serve our international customers headquartered in Switzerland and to continue to offer them a full range of international products and services,” explained Morten Lundal, Vodafone’s chief commercial officer.
According to Vodafone, more than 42 members have signed up to its ‘Partner Market programme’.
The announcement comes hot on the heels of a similar partnership announced between Swiss mobile operator Sunrise and Spanish incumbent operator Telefonica.
Telefonica’s Partners Program currently includes two other companies: French mobile operator Bouygues Telecom and UAE-based telco Etisalat.
