State-owned telecoms company Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications (VNPT) is selling a 20% stake in subsidiary VNPT Global to ST Telemedia for around US$1m.
VNPT Global, which has three major shareholders (VNPT, Vietnam Post Corporation and MobiFone), specialises in creating international connectivity networks. The firm is operational in Vietnam, Singapore, Hong Kong, the United States and the Czech Republic.
STT is 100% owned by Singaporean state investment vehicle Temasek Holdings.
