VimpelCom Ltd has completed the squeeze-out process to acquire the remaining OJSC VimpelCom shares it did not own.
The shares paid Rbs11,8000 each (US$382.18), when the squeeze-out process was launched on 25th May. OJSC VimpelCom ADS holders were also entitled to receive Rbs590 per ADS (US$19.11).
The squeeze-out price was set as the market value of the OJSC VimpelCom shares on 28th February by an independent Russian appraiser, which was supplemented with a value analysis by Deloitte and Touche CIS.
Last year, Norway’s Telenor and Russia’s Alfa Group ended years of dispute by agreeing to merge their shareholding in VimpelCom and Ukrainian mobile operator Kyivstar into a new entity, VimpelCom Ltd.
