Marius Rispeter is to become the new CFO at German alternative communications provider Versatel with immediate effect.
Now responsible for accounting, controlling, investor relations, treasury and procurement, Rispeter joined the company in 2007 as head of investor relations and was also in charge of the company’s capital markets appearance and the bond placement for corporate refinancing. According to a company press release, he significantly managed the successful realization of the company’s restructuring and performance improvement processes. He has been on the telco’s extended executive board since 2008.
Roland Steindorf, Chairman of the Supervisory Board welcomed the appointment, describing Rispeter as a perfectly fit, due to his “long standing experience in the telecommunications market and financial department of a telecommunications provider, excellent capital market expertise as well as broad corporate knowledge”.
Prior to joining Versatel, Rispeter held various finance positions at Deutsche Telekom, where he was responsible for the initiation of the company’s debt communications in 2002 and a key player in the Investor Relations from 2004.
Max Padberg stepped down as CFO in April, since which time CEO Alain Bandle has headed up the finance department.
