The notes, which carry a 4.8% coupon per annum, will mature in September 2044, according to an SEC filing.
Morgan Stanley acted as global structuring agent and coordinator on the offering.
At the end of August, Verizon issued US$13.3bn of new notes as part of debt exchange offers aimed at reducing borrowing costs.
Before that, in June, it issued US$3.3bn in new paper split between fixed and floating rate notes.
