Liberty Global’s (LGI) UPC Romania has appointed Jon Garrison as its CFO, a newly-created role for the company.
Garrison will join the Bucharest-based cableco from LGI’s German unit Unitymedia KabelBW, where he has been co-CFO since 2010. The other co-CFO, Winfried Papp, is now Unitymedia’s sole finance head.
He first joined the LGI group in 2005 as vice president for technical accounting, responsible for accounting policies throughout Europe.
In his new role, Garrison will be responsible for all of UPC Romania’s financial activities, including leading the finance and accounting departments and supporting the company’s growth strategy.
UPC Romania is, according to LGI, the nation’s second-largest cable TV operator, also providing video, broadband internet and digital telephony services to 1.2 million customers as of 31 March 2014.
