The UAE-based Union National Bank (UNB) has participated in a US$1.25bn loan to Etisalat-Egypt, according to the Khaleej Times.
According to the report, the proceeds of the loan are to be used for the company’s expansion plan, to increase the number of coverage stations as well as improving the efficiency of the existing coverage stations.
Etisalat-Egypt is reportedly the third largest mobile operator in Egypt, and the fastest growing.
