Ukrainian telecoms incumbent Ukrtelecom has reached an agreement with lenders to delay debt repayment, Reuters reports.
The operator has agreed with Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank and Standard Bank to repay US$41.7m due in February 25 on May 25.
The liability is part of a US$500m debt raised in 2005.
State-owned companies such as energy firm Naftogaz and the railway Ukrzalyznitsya have already announced the restructuring of their debt, which triggered concerns over Ukraine’s debt ratings and finances.
