Armenian broadband operator UCOM plans to launch fixed-line services, possibly before the summer, head of marketing Manushak Melkumyan was quoted saying in Telegeography.
The company intends to start operations first in the capital city of Yerevan, before reaching other regions where it has built a fibre-optic network.
Melkumyna reportedly said that UCOM was looking at having capacity for 10,000 telephone numbers.
UCOM was set up in 2007.
