Polish satellite broadcaster TVN announced in a stock market filing that the estate if its founder, the late Jan Bohdan Wejchert, has sold 6.4 million shares for PLN16.5 (US$5.73) per share, thereby raising PLN 105.6m (US$32m).
The estate includes Aldona Wejchert, a member of the TVN Supervisory Board, and Jan Lukasz Wejchert, a member of the company’s management board.
TVN is a leading privately owned media group in Poland, currently operating ten TV channels. The group also operates the only all-day teleshopping channel in the country, the internet portals Onet.pl, tvn24.pl, plejada.pl and the DTH platform ‘n’.
