Ekrem Yener, Turkcell’s chief international expansion officer, will resign from his position at the end of the year.
A spokesperson for Turkey’s largest operator said a decision has not been made yet on his replacement. He could not comment on Yener’s plans.
Earlier this year, Turkcell made Murat Dogan Erden its new CFO. Erden had been interim finance chief since April 2012 following the departure of Serkan Okandan, who joined to Etisalat.
Meanwhile, Turkcell’s three major shareholders – Russia’s Altimo, Turkey’s Cukurova and Sweden’s TeliaSonera – have been embroiled in a feud with the regulator over the composition of the board of directors.
