Turk Telekom has agreed to buy Invitel Holdings’ international wholesale business for E221m.
The total cash consideration for the transaction is about E197m, subject to closing adjustments.
The target business comprises the holding company Invitel International AG and subsidiaries AT-Invitel, Invitel International Hungary and EuroWeb Romania.
Invitel International provides wholesale data and capacity services in Central and South-Eastern Europe with a presence in 16 countries.
The Turkish company said: “The acquisition will allow Türk Telekom to capitalize on its unique geographic “hub” location by connecting increasing data/broadband traffic within the Central Eastern European region, and from Turkey, Middle East and Asian markets to Western Europe and the United States.”
Earlier this year, Mid Europa Partners closed the acquisition of Invitel from Danish operator TDC.
