Mokhtar Mnakri has been appointed at the head of incumbent Tunisie Telecom, a spokesperson for the country’s ministry of information and communication technologies has confirmed.
Between 2008 and 2010, he was general director of the Tunisian subsidiary of telecom equipment company Alcatel-Lucent.
Mnakri replaces Ali Ghodbani, who had been CEO since February 2011. No details have been disclosed regarding Ghodbani’s departure.
