The founders of TowerVision India are considering exiting the company, according to the online edition of the Wall Street Journal, quoting people familiar with the matter.
Four banks have reportedly been shortlisted to manage the sale process.
Shareholders would seek to raise more than US$125,000 per completed tower and would value the entire tower company at more than US$750m.
TowerVision India provides passive infrastructure to mobile operators. It reportedly has 5,500 completed mobile towers and is building another 2,500.
The founders, including US private equity firm Quadrangle Group and Israel’s Fore group, reportedly own about 90% of the company.
The parties were not immediately available for comments.
