The chairman of Thai state-owned telco TOT, Udom Puasakul, has reportedly decided to leave after just nine months in the role as he believes his performance has been inadequate.
Bangkok Post quoted Puasakul as saying his resignation will take effect when the Thai ICT minister receives his letter informing him of his decision.
Puasakul was cited as saying he decided to quit three months ago, having graded himself only four out of 10 for his performance in the first six months. Nonetheless, Puasakul is reportedly proud that the first phase of TOT’s 3G network expansion is set to be completed during his tenure after several years delay.
Previously, Puasakul served as director-general of the Department of Public Works and Town and Country Planning.
TOT did not respond to requests for comment.
