He did not give details on how much was being invested, nor how advanced legal proceedings with telecoms regulator Cofetel were.
Tigo, a subsidiary of Luxembourg-based celco Millicom, would offer significant competition to the country’s main cable TV provider, Cablevision, which is controlled by Argentine conglomerate Grupo Clarin.
