TeliaSonera has promoted Andreas Ekström, the Swedish incumbent telco’s head of investor relations, to lead its merger and acquisitions team.
Ekström replaces Jan-Erik Brask, who will be retiring this year.
He was appointed to the position last November, but the move was only announced today.
The news comes as the telco shuffles its board with a new CEO, CFO and chair following the controversy over its 2007 3G licence deal in Uzbekistan.
