Glen Katz, chief commercial officer at satellite communications provider Telesat (TSX: TSAT), has joined the Connectivity Business Summit 2022 speaker faculty for a panel discussion on what’s new in LEO and LEO proliferation. The panel takes place at 11:00 a.m. ET on Tuesday, June 14.

Telesat’s enterprise services low Earth orbit (LEO) constellation Lightspeed is due to begin offering commercial services in 2024-2025. Meanwhile, the company is building a growing list of technology partners.
Telesat’s Lightspeed LEO constellation will have the same sales team as the existing GEO business, CEO Dan Goldberg said on the company’s Q4 2021 earnings call. Thus Katz is responsible for sales and business development for an integrated business that encompasses the existing fleet of satellites as well as Lightspeed.
For the full year 2021, the company on March 18 reported revenues of $607 million, down 8% from $657 million a year ago.
