Lars-Ake Norling, the CEO of Telenor’s Swedish operations, has been named head of the company’s subsidiary in Malaysia from 1 August.
At Digi, Malaysia’s third-largest mobile operator, Norling will succeed Henrik Clausen, who has been appointed to an undisclosed position within Norway’s Telenor Group.
Norling, who became CEO of Telenor Sweden in 2009, will be replaced in the role by Patrik Hofbauer, the current head of Telenor Broadcast and Canal Digital.
Hofbauer’s successor will be announced when the recruiting process has been finalised, Telenor said.
