Telenor has been awarded Serbia’s second fixed-line operator, which it bought for E1.05m.
Until now, only Telekom Srbija provided fixed-line services in the country. The Norwegian firm is reportedly having difficulties reaching an agreement with Telekom Srbija to use the incumbent’s network until it builds its own fibre optic network.
The licence is valid for a renewable 10-year period.
