Norwegian incumbent Telenor intends to appeal a reassessment of its 2006 and 2007 tax returns, which could see its tax expenses rise by NKR800m (US$129m), the company has said.
The Norwegian tax authority is reassessing gains made on Telenor’s share swap deal with Russian operator OJSC VimpelCom.
The Norwegian government could not be reached before the press deadline.
