The CFO of Belgian cableco Telenet, Renaat Berckmoes, will step down from his position at the end of September “on his own initiative”, the company said.
Berckmoes joined the company in 2001 as group treasurer and became CFO in 2006.
“Berckmoes managed the successive financing operations since 2001 and the IPO in 2005. He was also involved in the acquisitions of Canal+, UPC Belgie and Interkabel,” Telenet noted.
The cableco has launched an external selection process in order to recruit a new CFO.
In mid-May, the company had also announced that its COO, Jan Vorstermans, would be leaving to “assist young entrepreneurs in their start-up phase via his own company,” according to the statement.
His responsibilities will be divided between the head of the information technology department and the CTO.
