Serbia plans to sell a part of the shares it owns in Telekom Srbija in September, according to reports.
The government is reportedly planning to sell half of its 80% stake, which analysts value at between E2bn and E4bn.
Deutsche Telekom, France Telecom and Orascom could be interested in the telecoms incumbent.
It is also reported that the authorities would sell another 20% stake, with 15% offered to the public and 5% to current and past employees.
Serbia owns 80% of Telekom Srbija, while Greece’s OTE, in which Deutsche Telekom is the largest shareholder, owns the rest.
Telekom Srbija lost its monopoly on fixed-line services in January when Telenor won the country’s second fixed-line licence.
The Serbian authorities were not immediately available for comments.
