Telekom Slovenije has agreed to take full ownership of Bosnia-Herzegoniva unit Aneks, boosting its stake from 70%.
The Ljubljana Stock Exchange-listed telco announced today that it has entered into an agreement with minority shareholders in Aneks, which operates under the brand name Blicnet, to acquire the outstanding 30% stake.
A Telekom Slovenije spokesperson said the deal value will be disclosed in the company’s 2012 annual report.
The spokesperson noted that, while the company does not disclose Aneks’ revenues separately, the unit provided “the majority” of that derived from its businesses in South East Europe (SEE). SEE businesses contributed €14.6m of the group’s total unconsolidated revenues of €676.7m for the nine months ended 30 September 2012.
Based in Banja Luka, Aneks provides broadband internet, fixed telephony and cable TV services.
Telekom Slovenije announced a similar deal late last month, saying it had agreed to acquire the 25% of shares in Albanian unit Primo Communications it did not already own.
The group reported consolidated operating revenues of €595.9m for the first nine months of 2012, down 4% from the same period the previous year. EBITDA stood at €198.4m and the EBITDA margin at 33.3%. Net financial debt was down nearly €52m to €336.7m, which the company said made it one of the least indebted large telecoms operators in Europe.
