Slovenian incumbent Telekom Slovenije has reportedly boosted its stake in Macedonian telecommunications operator One to 53.99% following a string of capital increases totalling €90m (US$117.4m).
According to a local report, the telco acquired the shares from its Netherlands-based subsidiary, SIOL, now in liquidation.
On 12 December, the telco raised its stake in One by 11.15% for €30m and, a week later, bought an additional 8.14% stake for a similar sum. The recent transaction, again priced at €30m, is for an extra 6.1% stake and, following the registration of all capital increases, will make it the majority shareholder.
Late last month, Telekom Slovenije announced it expected to report a net profit of €59.79m in the 2012 fiscal year.
Telekom Slovenije was not immediately available for comment.
