At Telekom Austria’s (TA) AGM shareholders will vote on a proposal to elect investors Ronny Pecik and Naguib Sawiris to join the supervisory board.
The additional item was added to the AGM agenda, scheduled to take place on 23 May in Vienna, according to a statement published on the TA website today (Friday, 27 April).
The proposal was added by request of shareholder Marathon Zwei Beteiligungs, a subsidiary of Ronny Pecik’s RPR Privatstiftung. The AGM will have to decide whether to increase the number of board members from currently eight to 10, by adding Pecik and Sawiris.
Austrian investor Ronny Pecik and Egyptian businessman Naguib Sawiris have built a combined 20.1% stake in Telekom Austria since late 2011 via RPR Privatstiftung and have publically said they intend to further increase the stake.
