Spanish incumbent Telefonica has appointed Luis Miguel Gilperez as its top executive manager in Spain and Paulo Cesar Teixera as the head of its business in Brazil.
Gilperez had previously been the head of Telefonica’s Brazilian operations, where he oversaw the integration of the company’s operations.
Teixera was previously head of Vivo, the Brazilian mobile operator in which Telefonica holds a majority stake.
The management changes come after Telefonica announced a major reorganisation of its operations last week, which included the integration of its Spanish operations into its European unit.
