UK utility services provider Telecom Plus is searching for a new CFO after Chris Houghton announced plans to leave the company on 3 October.
Houghton joined the group, which provides mobile services through local operator EE as well as fixed line, in September 2008. He was appointed finance director five months after and since he joined the group its revenues and profit before tax have more than doubled.
Telecom Plus CEO Andrew Lindsay said the company has initiated the search for a future CFO to help grow the business over the coming years.
The FTSE250 company operates the Utility Warehouse brand and last year bought gas and electricity assets from Npower, one of the UK’s ‘Big Six’ energy firms, in a £218m (US$367m) deal.
It reported revenue up 9.5% on the year to the end of March to £658.8m (US$1.11bn), compared with last year. Adjusted profit before tax soared 25.3% to £44.6m (US$75m).
