Swedish alternative operator Tele2 has acquired Estonian telecoms service provider Televörgu for SEK 225m (US$32m) in cash on a debt free basis.
The acquisition of Televörgu, which is being sold by Estonian utility firm Eesti Energia, is still subject to regulatory approval. It is being acquired through Tele2’s Estonian subsidiary Tele2 Estonia.
According to Tele2, “the acquisition will give Tele2 Estonia a stronger presence towards business customers in the Estonian market, and full control over its transmission network until 2025”.
Televörgu posted net 2010 sales of SEK 130m (US$19m) and EBITDA of SEK 60m (US$9m).
Tele reported 2010 net sales of SEK 40.2bn (US$5.7bn) and EBITDA of SEK 10.3bn (US$1.47bn).
