Vinod Kumar, the CEO of Indian telco group Tata Communications, said that his company is still on the lookout for acquisitions in developed markets despite pulling out of the Cable & Wireless Worldwide (CWW) bid process in mid-April.
Speaking to the Financial Times, Kumar explained that no agreement could be reached on a deal value because of CWW’s shareholders expectations.
Shortly after, British telco Vodafone said it would buy the fibre operator for £1.04bn (US$1.67bn).
But Kumar said that Tata Comm is still looking for similar acquisitions, particularly in the UK, US, France and Canada.
