Indian telco group Tata Communications has confirmed its CFO Sanjay Baweja will leave the company.
Bombay-listed Tata Comm said in a bourse filing that Baweja will “pursue other opportunities” but did not provide further details.
However, it noted that his departure is “on positive terms”.
The Mumbai-based company said it is looking for candidates to replace him and aims to appoint a new CFO in the near future.
Baweja, who has been Tata Comm’s finance head since 2009, will stay on at the company until 3 November to help with the transition period.
India’s Economic Times cited a person with direct knowledge of the matter as saying Baweja is set to become the CEO of local online retail firm Flipkart.
Flipkart was not immediately available for comment.
