UK ISP TalkTalk has sold its international prepay call assets to local solutions provider New Call Telecom for an undisclosed sum.

According to New Call, the acquisition is part of plans to grow organically over the next five years to reach in excess of 250,000 new fixed line and broadband services subscribers. The group currently has almost 50,000 subscribers for these services, a spokeswoman said.
Nigel Eastwood, CEO of New Call, said the complementary acquisition would strengthen Planet Talk’s suite of products, giving the company greater reach with customers dialling from the UK into Australia, New Zealand and Eastern Europe.
