Slovenian ailing telecoms operator T-2 confirmed that more than the required percentage of 60% of creditors have given their support for a debt restructuring plan proposed in May.
The formal voting date is set for 13 August.
In an email, T-2 press officer Nada Majdic said that the creditors voted in favour of a restructuring plan which proposes the repayment of 44% of the debt by 2020.
The main creditors of the E239m debt are Gratel, Loka Invest, Smart Inzenering, Telekom Slovenije, Nokia Siemens Networks, SAZAS and owners of TV programming rights.
T-2 general manager Uros Rozic was quoted saying in media reports that the plan would enable the company to return to the market to develop its competitive advantages. He reportedly added that T-2 had grown its customer base during the debt settling procedure.
T-2, which was set up in 2004, offers quadruple-play services in Slovenia. Last year, the company was rumoured to be looking for an investor.
