The CEO of US mobile communications company Syniverse, Jeffrey Gordon, resigned from his role yesterday with immediate effect.
Replacing him on an interim basis is director Stephen Gray, the company said in a statement.
Syniverse has neither disclosed the reasons for Gordon’s departure nor where he is heading to.
Gray became a Syniverse director following the company’s acquisition by US private equity firm The Carlyle Group in January 2011. At Carlyle, he was an operating executive within the global telecoms, media and technology group.
“Steve understands the tremendous opportunity for Syniverse with the proliferation of LTE and more advanced mobile technologies worldwide, ensuring Syniverse is well positioned for its next phase of growth,” chairman James Attwood commented.
