Swiss incumbent Swisscom delisted Italian broadband business Fastweb today, after acquiring the last part of group it did not already own.
Swisscom acquired an additional 18% stake in Fastweb late last year for E183m through existing cash resources, bringing its shareholding to 94.851%. Following the acquisition of Fastweb’s minority stock, the company has now been delisted from Borsa Italiana.
Credit Suisse and Banca IM advised Swisscom, while Legance Studio Legale Associato provided legal advice.
Fastweb was advised on the bid by Mediobanca – Banca di Credito Finanziario and UniCredit Corporate & Investment Banking.
