Sudanese operator Sudatel has sold its Expresso Telecom mobile unit in Ghana to an unnamed buyer.
The company revealed the deal when announcing its H1 2014 results a few days ago, but did not provide any details about the value, the stake sold or the name of the acquirer.
It stated only that the sale was concluded in the second quarter of the year. The company was not immediately available to comment further on the announcement.
In addition to Sudan and Ghana, Sudatel has telecoms operations in Guinea, Mauritania and Senegal.
For the first half of the year, the telco posted consolidated revenues of US$233m, net income of US$28m and EBIDTA of US$75m – a 17% increase compared with the same period last year.
