Chris Quin has announced plans to step down as CEO of telco Spark New Zealand’s home, mobile and business unit in June to pursue other leadership opportunities.
Quin, who has been with the telco for more than 20 years, will be replaced by the subsidiary’s general manager Jason Paris.
Its group managing director Simon Moutter said Quin’s departure comes as the company prepares to kick off a revenue growth strategy, after successfully stabilising margins and costs.
Rod Snodgrass, CEO of the group’s Spark Ventures incubator unit, is taking accountability for its new “Digital First Programme” in addition to his current role.
CFO Jolie Hodson is also taking on some operational business activities as part of the new strategy, as certain Spark Ventures investments mature and move outside the unit to report directly to her.
Moutter said: “Our aim will be to create New Zealand’s leading digital services platform and suite of digital applications intended to fuel market growth.”
