Regional UK operator Manx Telecom (AIM:MANX) has appointed telecoms veteran Danny Bakhshi as CFO, effective 1 February.
Regional UK operator Manx Telecom (AIM:MANX) has appointed Danny Bakhshi as CFO.
He is due to start on 1 February, and will also join the board of the Isle of Man-based telco.
The 25-year telecoms veteran joins from Virgin Media, where he has been executive commercial director since 2013. Previous roles include CFO at Vodafone Global Enterprise Services, managing director of Vodafone Global Enterprise Africa and various finance roles at BT.
Welcoming Bakhshi, CEO Gary Lamb highlighted his “genuine industry expertise and a track record of leading finance functions in the telecoms sector,” adding that the company was looking to “build on our highly cash generative stable core business” both on and off the Isle of Man, a renowned tax haven.
The company, which listed in February 2014, has a market capitalisation of £236m.
