Chip shortage puts satellite industry in crunch

Effects seen in manufacturing of satellites, terminals and ground equipment

The satellite industry is not immune to fallout from the global semiconductor chip shortage.  The manufacturing of ground equipment, terminals and satellites are all affected, Tom Stroup, president of the Satellite Industry Association (SIA) told Connectivity Business. The result includes “delays in manufacturing and delays in launch schedules.
