Polish businessman Zygmunt Solorz-Zak has sold Warsaw-based telecoms operator Sferia to a private equity firm for an undisclosed sum, according to media reports.
The Warsaw Business Journal wrote that the sale was reportedly triggered to avoid regulatory issues following Solorz-Zak’s acquisition of mobile operator Polkomtel for PLN18.1bn (E4.5bn), announced at the end of June.
But Bloomberg reports the businessman said that the sale was unrelated to the Polkomtel transaction.
The parties were not immediately available for comments.
