European S-band service provider Solaris Mobile has added three new recruits to its Dublin-based team.
Hermann Schulte-Kellinghaus, who has worked with the likes of Ericsson, Openwave and Nagravision, has been appointed senior business development officer to drive services and portfolio development.
Nicola Corboy has become Solaris Mobile’s marketing and communications manager after leaving PR consultancy Weber Shandwick, and Greg Orton joins as senior financial analyst. According to the company, Orton has a wealth of experience in the financial area through his work with BDO SX and FL Partners.
Last month, Solaris reconfirmed plans for a new payload, adding that joint shareholders SES and Eutelsat have agreed their support for the procurement. “We’re moving towards placing a contract for a new satellite,” CEO Steve Maine told SatelliteFinance at the time.
It is understood that the procurement is expected to go ahead by the end of Q3 2010.
