UK unified communications start-up Six Degrees Group has appointed Peter Bamford, a former director of local telco Vodafone, to non-executive chairman.
According to Six Degrees Group, Bamford will oversee the hyper-growth business strategy of the company, which on 24 October acquired its fifth telco in three months with the purchase of voice services firm Blue Square Telecom.
Six Degrees Group CEO Alastair Mills said: “I’m delighted that Peter has joined the Six Degrees Group board and his decision is testament to our progress in our short history and our ambitious strategy. Peter is a highly prominent figure in British industry and brings a wealth of M&A, technology and marketing experience to the Group.”
