Russian holding company Sistema has announced that its board is to vote on proposed management changes at a meeting tomorrow.
The vote relates to the company’s decision to transform itself from an operational holding company to an investment company.
Potential top management changes, which will also be decided tomorrow, could see current MTS president and CEO Mikhail Shamolin become president and CEO of Sistema. If this were to go ahead, current Sistema president and CEO Leonid Melamed would remain on Sistema’s board and continue being the chairman at Russian oil company Russneft.
