Singapore-based mobile operator SingTel has reportedly said that Indian telco Bharti Airtel, in which it owns a 32% stake, may look at consolidation opportunities in India.
Chua Sock Koong, SingTel’s CEO, was quoted saying during a press briefing that Bharti is currently in a strong position to look at M&As.
In that same press briefing, the company reported a 7% increase in revenue to S$1.63bn (US$1.3bn) for the quarter ended 31 December 2010. EBIDTA were S$1.803 (US$1.4bn) against S$1.825 (US$1.4bn) for the same period a year ago.
