Singapore will kick off an auction for 4G wireless spectrum licences in 2012, according to the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA).
The regulator said it will reallocate 2300MHz/2500MHz bands next year but operators will be able to use their spectrum only after contracts expire in June 2015.
The current spectrum right holders are SingTel, StarHub, MobileOne Asia (M1), QMax and PacketOne.
