The Moscow Arbitration Court confirmed a fine imposed on regional operator Sibirtelecom for breaching antimonopoly law.
Last September, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) fined Sibirtelecom Rbs1,144,605 for abusing its dominant position on the market of the services for access to subscriber line to provide internet access.
In April, the FAS found out that Sibirtelecom had overcharged the rates for joint use with Barnaul.ru of a subscriber line and monthly fees for providers, when connecting their subscribers to the internet, in comparison with the rates and monthly fees for providing internet access for the company’s own subscriber using an existing subscribe line.
