The shortlist for the next CEO of Swedish incumbent telco TeliaSonera is reportedly down to four candidates with a decision pencilled in for the end of June.
Tele2 CEO Mats Granryd and the Swedish alternative operator’s former head, Lars-Johan Jarnheimer, are on the list, reported Reuters citing a source with insight into the board’s deliberations.
Michael Wolf, who is CEO of banking group Swedbank, also made the selection, added the report.
TeliaSonera declined to comment on the speculation. A spokesman said finding a new CEO was “among the top priorities” for its board.
Former CEO Lars Nyberg resigned in February after an internal investigation criticised the company’s lack of due diligence over a controversial 3G licence deal in Uzbekistan.
As it seeks to repair its image following the controversy, the operator has also recently hired Norton Rose to review its partners and the deals it has made in Eurasia in the past few years.
