RRsat Global Communications Network, the Israel-based satellite transmissions business, has formed a five-year strategic alliance with British Telecom’s Media & Broadcast division.
The partnership will combine RRsat’s content management and global broadcast distribution services with BT’s Global Media Network, including its dedicated bandwidth for short-term event coverage, as well as its existing satellite portfolio.
Under the terms of the deal, each company has agreed to bring between £5m-£10m of additional business to the other party.
